The only reason we returned to Lima was that we couldnt get a flight out to Santiago the same day. This time we stayed in Miraflores, considered to be the better part of town. I think I can agree it is better than the colonial district, however it is still noisy, dirty and mad, with some few exceptions. Kay managed to do some retail threapy. We stayed at Colonial Inn in Miraflores. As we arrived I was 100% convinced the taxi driver had taken us to the wrong place; not only did I think we were in the wrong place of town, but the hotel didnt match my expectations after having seen the front presented at their website. We stayed in a suite, where the "suite" denomination was given based on the fact there is a tiny, tiny adjoining room with a round table and two chairs. Though the hotel features wireless internet I could never get it to work more than a few minutes.
