O’Neill, NE to Rapid City, SD
Since I am now one day early, I take extra time to ride the back-roads of Nebraska and South Dakota. What I later realize is that a Harley with a lot of chrome and white-wall tires isn’t really made to ride on gravel. The bike gets really dirty and grimy, but it was fun! 🙂
I am entering South Dakota from the south, coming straight into the Badlands area (picture right: studying rock formations). This area is quite famous among bike riders for its windy roads and interesting rock formations. While I agree it is a spectacular area, I am a bit disappointed since I expected more from both the riding experience and the view.
Eventually I arrive in Rapid City, at the Best Western Ramkota Hotel. I end the day with some great time in the sun.
