Spent 6.5 hours on the Iron Horse trail yesterday (aka John Wayne trail) along the Yakima river in eastern Washington.

During a heavy rainfall the request went out on the radio to come and help save the city and surrounding properties of Mt Vernon from flooding.
A friend and I spent a night filling sacks with sand and then building flood barriers around Mt. Vernon.
We saved the city. Mission accomplished.
Yes, that is me having fun. Can’t wait until the summer arrives.
