We left Lima really early to catch out flight to Santiago. This time we decided to wing it! We didnt have any hotel or plans ready for Chile, instead we used the airport services, found a hotel in Santa Cruz and hired a car. Then we set off to Santa Cruz and what a surprise Chile was! This is a very civilized country with well educated and proud people. Traffic runs smoothly and noone is trying to push you off the road.
It is fun to be adventurous however it did take us some 3 hours to get sorted with hotel and car at the airport. The good thing is that we got to a place we could never have found on our own over the web.
Arriving in Santa Cruz was a bit of a challenge as the hotel we were booked with were doing some renovations. After many discussions we reached a really good deal and our stay became very enjoyable.
